i'm not exactly sure what happened. just less than 24 hours ago, i was desperate for a world lit topic so i could start working with my outline. and now, i have THREE world lit topics, of which all were approved as viable - all of which are 'interesting' and one of which is 'well worded'.
now i've got a new problem: i have to choose one of out the three. not easy. what if i picked one topic, and did badly for it - when in fact if i had chosen one of the other two, i would have done better?
you know, when i was panicking about my world lit topic, i never envisioned such a problem arising. it was always a problem of having no topic. what happened?! well i shouldnt be complaining. but it's this kind of situation that makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time. i think i have to do something like three outlines to see which one i have more evidence and a better argument for....
i was worrying about it on the way to school today, and i heard a beethoven symphony on the radio - which cheered me up considerably. really enjoyed it (: it made my morning!
today was a pretty good day. started off with bio prac, calida and i taking turns to poke each other with two toothpicks to find the density of touch receptors. quite funny, actually. math was a free period so it was just doing assigned math work at the level 5 benches.
let the class try my chocolate chip cookies. seriously, this is a good way to get rid of food. just bring it to school and everyone, especially the guys, will eat it all up for you. i highly recommend this method for clearing out your kitchen.
chem was chem - just acid base equilibria. ooh, we practised the mass dance and dirty pop dance during our free period, haha. dance rehearsal tomorrow after the math lecture.
english was good! in the sense that i got confirmation that my suggested topics actually had potential as a world lit essay. and our world lit outline deadline got extended! screening of bernada alba at LT 3 and following our text as the film went along. it was pretty slow at some parts and we kept trying to figure out which actress was which daughter, haha. but not bad, i guess.
training was quite fun. did some drills, then played kings (including the coach). went for a 4.2 km run, 6 rounds around the school.
when i was in london last dec, (how long ago was that? not very. london feels like a million years away) in the books section in harrods, happened to walk past and see this book, titled something like 'do you think too much?'
so i picked it up just to have a look, and at the back, it said 'are you one of those women who think about what things would be like if only you had done something in the past, or what would happen if.... happened? if you are, this book is for you!' wellll that book might have been for me but i didnt buy it. obviously. haha but i don't think doing all that means you think too much, it just means... that.... i don't know.
symphony 92.4 likes to play borodin's prince igor (without chorus though) - i've heard it so many times in the past few months. they like dvorak 9's 2nd movement too, haha. prince igor's quite a fantastic piece (:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tdgYmBxy1A (watch the cymbals around 3.30 to 3.40, and the cymbals and drums at 4.40ish. quite fun to watch, hehe.)
okay now i need to go and figure out which world lit topic to choose. i still dont know how it happened. wheeee now that i have a world lit topic, i'm actually really excited about it - and looking forward to starting on it too (:
