there were so few people at orch rehearsal today. just 6 violin Is, 9 violin IIs, 1 violist and 1 cellist because all the year 2, 3 and 4s are away on oep. my brother's coming back this afternoon! and i think my cousin is too.
ooh but before orch rehearsal! the squash people gave la a birthday surprise (: it was all pretty funny. poor la was sitting outside the squash courts waiting for grace and char 'to arrive at school' and the rest of us to come back from our 'team run' when in fact, we were all on the second level outside the courts.
char got her a huge '18' balloon with a star weight, and we dropped the balloon down beside la, who had a real shock. then cake and presents.

apparently, next sat, orch is combining with band (and maybe choir) for rehearsal for rutter's all things bright and beautiful. should be quite fun - but jess isnt playing ): because there's no part for percussion, haha.
