spent so much time playing the piano yesterday. now i remember why i do that all the time during the exam period. it does get quite addictive and you just can't get off the piano chair.

today was a math day. did math homework in the afternoon in the bio lab (it's always the bio lab) while queueing up for use of the rotary evaporator (thanks, ian). went out to buy ee supplies, happened to see anna and a group of mg juniors on the way to jelita.

came back, taught my brother how to do completing the square (math again). i've finished the APGP questions (:

while doing math in the lab, i realised how much i missed NORMAL homework - like the math worksheets we used to get in mg for almost every lesson. the chem (the school ones and mrs chow's notes), physics (the compulsory school ones and mr liu's) and bio worksheets.

okay, i don't miss geog or social studies worksheets - i'll admit that. neither do i miss chinese worksheets. but anyway, i kind of miss the normal homework we got in mg - the worksheets. hahaha sounds quite stupid -why would anyone miss something like that. i think all the jc people still get that - but i do think it's pretty cool that we get booklets for everything.

i just miss the 'traditional' homework a little - nowadays practically all our homework requires use of the computer - our laptops and us are inseparable. remember the good old days when concentrating on homework meant putting away the comp and just sitting down and finishing your work. nowadays going on the comp is inevitable.

more distractions. more problems with all the annoying formatting. IAs! if our comp crashed, it would be ALL that bio and chem work that went down the drain, not to mention ee, tok, world lit, IOP - we are just that dependent on technology.

i love the feeling when you meet a teacher to talk about what needs to be done, and you come out of the meeting feeling so motivated, knowing what is wrong and what should be done. then you come home and sit down in front of the laptop, plug it in, turn it on, wait for it to load, open your file with your work, and just stare at all the pages and think '... so where do i start?'

at that moment, you remember you need to check your email for any important messages or notices, and that includes going on the internet - which is like your danger zone. internet means you are risking a waste of valuable time by doing all your random mindless things. LIKE THIS.

i need to do go and edit my ssef report now.
