i got 5 wrong for paper 1 already (so far, may be more). urghhhh ): i guess it was a mistake not really studying respiration and photosynthesis and trying to cram it in the morning on the day of the exam like i did for common tests. argh stupid la, i got 2 questions on photosynthesis wrong. and the worse thing was that i almost put the correct answer but i didnt. brilliant.

and what's with the obsession with plants?? hahaha omg almost the whole paper was on plants, i was thinking i'd never done such a paper before because i always choose human physio essay questions or something else that's not on plants. but for paper 2, it was a drq entirely on plants, plus my 8 mark essay question for 6c was on plants too.

the essay questions were so weird. what's with the differentiate between the roles of the membrane in photosynthesis and respiration question?? arent they 1000x more similar than different? my answers were so stupid, i gave an answer one page long for a stupid 4 mark question because i was just writing all these random points that didnt seem like what the answer would be. blindly spamming in the hopes that i'll get a few ticks somewhere, because really, there is nothing much to write for that question!!!

today was the first time i did an essay question involving drawing!!!! yeah. and whatttt! why was pollen tube (post-pollination) tested! i specifically checked the syllabus yesterday and fertilisation in plants wasnt included. actually, can still remember stuff from o levels about the pollen tube growing down, and the two male nuclei in the pollen tube, and the bursting of the pollen tube to let the male nuclei enter the ovary at the micropyle. something about dividing into 8 cells (3 on top, 3 below and 2 in the middle) or something like that. then fertilisation! and you get some triploid thing forming. ah whatever, i didnt do that question anyway.

i think my essays were quite terrible this time round, was writing all sorts of strange points for 7a. and what on earth happened to human physio!! omg haha julia's 'MUSCLE CONTRACTION WILL COME OUT'. haha oh well. it didnt. neither did spermatogenesis or oogenesis or the darn menstrual cycle or fertilisation. neither did all that dna replication/transcription/translation whatever stuff that i studied for. lol cant believe the oxytocin question was 8 marks - just mainly positive feedback, stretch receptors and prostaglandins.

hahaha during the paper i really felt like laughing. like what??!!! why test so much on plants? its just one out of eleven topics (no AHL some more!) and i remember we rushed through it last year because mdm wanted to cover it in year 5 but it wasnt tested for end of years so all of us told her not to waste time on it. its probably one of the most neglected topics in our syllabus, along with ecology and evolution and stats.

whatever. anyway, i must have been really tired. came back from school and slept from 2+ pm to 7pm. i intended to wake up at 3.30 p.m. (famous last words), haha i didnt even hear my alarm ring. so what that means is that i havent studied for english! which is great because you know, my knowledge of the texts is really not up to standard.

oh noooo my bio mcq. darn, 5 marks gone already.
