'Prologue: Book II and The Escape From the Dursleys' and 'Harry's Wondrous World' are really really good imo (: haha actually i think john williams' harry potter and the chamber of secrets soundtrack is one of his best. much better than hooper's.
probably because williams uses the strings to greater effect, is more lyrical and lush in a sense, has more memorable themes, and generally has more substance. hooper's is more sparse, uses more percussion and a lot of repetitive parts of the strings. BUT THEN AGAIN, they were composing for different plots and scenes so i guess you can't really compare. hm wonder how it'd have been if john williams had continued composing after the third one.
